A Taste of Ethiopian Cuisine
The national dish of Ethiopia is made up of injera (teff-based flatbread) served with wot (stew). Wot may be made from legumes or meat (in Eji’s case, lentils and legumes), and usually contains berbere (Ethiopian chili powder). Ethiopian food is traditionally eaten with the hands, using pieces of injera. This type of cuisine is becoming more popular in the United States, and Eji is excited to share her vegan version with the city of San Francisco.
